Julie K. Silver, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. She is also the Chief Editor of Books for Harvard Health Publications.

Particular medical interests: I am interested in helping people to recover from all types of serious injuries and illnesses. I have a special interest in sports and musculoskeletal medicine, oncology rehabilitation and Post-Polio Syndrome.
Hobbies/non-medical interests: I spend the vast majority of my free time with my children, which is highly entertaining. I read voraciously and like to play sports and exercise.
What I enjoy most about being a doctor: I enjoy the privilege of having a special relationship with a patient who needs expert guidance regarding his/her health.
